Laura Montenegro Valenzuela was born in Bogotá, the capital of Colombia. Nestled high in the Andes Mountains at nearly 9,000 feet of elevation, Bogotá offers a cooler climate and a backdrop of stunning landscapes. Growing up in the 1990s, Laura developed a strong appreciation for the fashion of that era—rooted in the classics, yet drawn to the excitement of new trends.

Though Bogotá’s climate didn’t naturally align with the beachy, laid-back lifestyle she loved, Laura’s passion for sun, surf, warm weather, and vibrant style inspired her to share that energy through fashion. Shoes, in particular, became the perfect avenue for expressing this love.

Laura began her brand in Colombia, initially launching it with a friend and business partner, then expanding into other stores. With Colombia’s reputation for high-quality leather goods, it felt only natural to introduce her handcrafted, all-leather shoes to a new market in Florida, where her husband is from. What began in Miami has now grown into central Florida, where the couple currently lives.

Driven by a desire to create fashion-forward shoes that are built to last, Laura continues to focus on quality, color, and trend-inspired design. Her brand remains proudly rooted in Colombia, with every pair of shoes handmade from leather—an authentic bridge between her heritage and her life in Florida. Frequent visits between the two places help maintain both quality and inspiration.
